As a designer for the 2020 Season Guide of Gasworks Arts Park, I was tasked with creating a comprehensive 35-page booklet that would serve as a guide to all the upcoming productions, events, classes, festivals, and visual arts exhibitions scheduled for the year. My challenge was to ensure that the booklet had a consistent aesthetic while still including all the necessary information.

As per the brief, the objective was to create a booklet that was visually appealing, colorful and engaging, with a particular emphasis on the cover design to attract the reader's attention. The centerpiece image for the front cover had been selected, however, the original background was white. To address this issue, I substituted the background with an appropriate stock image and added diagonal gradient bars as overlays. This not only added an extra pop of color to the cover but also allowed me to maintain consistency throughout the booklet. This proved to be particularly beneficial when enhancing the visual appeal of individual pages.

Additionally, throughout the booklet, I utilized a consistent color palette, typography, and imagery to maintain the desired look and feel. This allowed me to create a cohesive and professional-looking document that effectively communicated all the information related to Gasworks Arts Park's 2020 season.

The end result was a well-designed, visually appealing and professional-looking Season Guide that effectively showcased Gasworks Arts Park's 2020 season offerings.
